#13 ARTISTS SURVEY BOOK RELEASED
The Centre for Regional Arts Practice (C.R.A.P.) event, ‘Are you a regional artist?’ was part of the 2012 RANGE festival of art and culture program. Attended by around thirty people from around the Toowoomba region the event took place at The GRID Creative Space. The stimulus for the event and its question is the series of artists survey books produced by C.R.A.P. founders Victoria Cooper and Doug Spowart.
The C.R.A.P. Artist Survey books act as catalysts and provocateurs for discussion, creating a commentary on a range of issues encountered by regional artists. Attendees of The RANGE festival were invited to contribute comments to the Artists Survey #13, ‘The regional artist and the Artists Run Initiative’.
.
This edition of the C.R.A.P. Artists Survey book is intended to celebrate the role of the ARI in the Toowoomba region—the main theme of The RANGE festival.

The 13 responses have now been assembled and over the last few weeks the two of us have coordinated the printing, collating, folding and sewing together of the edition of 25 books and 5 artist’s proofs. All contributors will be provided with a complimentary copy.
